I’ve loved jewellery for as long as I can remember, not as decoration, but as something that carries memory and meaning. I started making pieces when I was nine, encouraged by my Poppa, who handed me a pair of pliers, some beads, and eye pins. That simple moment sparked a fascination with creating, and the first time someone wore one of my pieces, I felt a fire in my belly, a mix of pride and connection, that has stayed with me ever since.

From that early spark grew a desire to make pieces that feel meaningful, that people can be proud to wear. Bejba grew from that curiosity, a commitment to creating thoughtfully, honestly, and with care, a balance of creativity, personal expression, and responsibility, focusing on what feels right rather than what might simply impress.

I’ve always been drawn to jewellery that feels lived-in and tactile, pieces that change and soften with time rather than follow trends. Vintage pieces showed me that the most memorable objects are the ones that feel as if they are inevitably yours.

Designed on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, each collection centres on freshwater pearls and sterling silver, balancing organic irregularity with considered form. Production is undertaken in partnership with trusted pearl specialists in China, where the majority of the world’s freshwater pearls originate, combining generational craftsmanship with a modern, restrained design language. During several visits to China, I fell in love with its craftsmanship, innovation, and rich culture. Partnering with a trusted supplier allowed their expertise to meet my designs in enduring, considered pieces.

Alongside Bejba, I work as a Sustainability and Responsible Sourcing Consultant through Guided by Gaia. Most recently, I built the Corporate Social Responsibility program for one of Australia’s largest ecommerce fashion brands from the ground up. This experience informs every decision within Bejba, from material selection to supplier relationships, with a commitment to transparency, continual improvement, and accountability. I do not believe in perfection; I believe in progress, curiosity, and evolution.

Bejba jewellery is tactile, seasonless, and designed to integrate effortlessly into an existing wardrobe while serving as the centrepiece around which an outfit is curated. Each piece complements what is already worn while offering an enduring presence. Rooted in art and intimacy, every creation moves seamlessly from day to evening, adding subtle depth, texture, and lasting character.

The name Bejba loosely translates to “babe” in Slovenian, my favourite term of endearment and a nod to my heritage. It carries warmth, intimacy, and affection.

My hope is that Bejba makes you feel the fire in your belly is alive, that you feel passion, magnetism, and celebration in your raw, natural self.
